Nollywood Movies Coming to Netflix in October 2026

Oversabi Aunty, October 2

October gets its big Nollywood arrival with Oversabi Aunty. Directed by Toyin Abraham in her feature directorial debut, the comedy drama became one of the major box office stories of the year, crossing the ₦1 billion mark in Nigerian cinemas.

The film follows an overzealous church usher whose determination to interfere in other people’s affairs turns family life into a chaotic comedy of errors.  And yes, the cast is packed. Toyin Abraham leads the film alongside Mike Ezuruonye, Odunlade Adekola and other familiar faces.

The film’s commercial performance was significant enough for the National Film and Video Censors Board to honour Abraham as a Box Office Champion, after Oversabi Aunty crossed the ₦1 billion milestone.

Oversabi Aunty is scheduled to arrive on Netflix on October 2, 2026. For fans who enjoyed the movie in cinemas, October brings the opportunity to revisit it from home.
