The Fenwa’s lay their mother to rest.
Late Madam Elizabeth Wuraola Fenwa(Nee Ojo, as she is fondly called), who was greatly loved by the people of Ogbomoso for her undeniable strides towards helping people live a good life, was finally laid to rest.
Her 94 years sojourn on earth saw her birth eight children, thirty-two grandchildren and six great grandchildren all of whom, have continued in her good steps as her bias for a well-mannered family is clearly seen in her survivors. She is the mother of Dr. Amos Fenwa, G.O., Senior Pastor of Holy Ghost Christian Center, worldwide.
In a manner that is very befitting, the indigenes of Ogbomoso came out in their numbers in what looked like a carnival, to lay their matriarch to rest.
It started with the service of songs in the city of Lagos on Tuesday the 19th of March 2024, at the Holy Ghost Christian Center, Solution Arena.
Indeed, it was an event to behold as the ambience of the venue created an impression in the hearts of all in attendance. It was an all-white affair and was complimented by the beautiful attires of guests, making it seem like the gathering of angels.
The event hosted great men and women from all works of life who flew in from America, Canada, London, Cameroun, Abuja, and other parts of the world to grace the occasion.
It proceeded to the city of Ogbomoso in Oyo state for the final burial rites.
The funeral service held at HCC House of Mercy with a thanksgiving service at the same venue. After that, a reception was held to host attendees to sumptuous
meals and nice sounds from the gospel singer, Bidemi Olaoba, who thrilled the audience with beautiful sounds that kept them dancing till the wee hours of the day.
here are excerpts of how it went down.
