The campaign features images of the refinery alongside the message “Made in Nigeria. Built for the World.” The choice of Times Square places the Nigerian industrial project in one of the world’s most prominent commercial and advertising districts.

What Is Happening With the Dangote Refinery IPO?

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals IPO officially opened on September 14, 2026. The company is offering 4.1 billion ordinary shares at ₦525 per share.

The minimum subscription is 10 shares, costing ₦5,250, while the offer is scheduled to close on October 13, 2026. If fully subscribed, the offer is expected to raise approximately ₦2.15 trillion.

The Nigerian Exchange Group confirmed that the public offer is the first petroleum refinery offering to investors in the history of the Nigerian Exchange.

The IPO has also attracted significant attention from retail investors, with the low minimum subscription allowing more Nigerians to participate in the offer.

The Dangote Refinery is located in the Lekki area of Lagos and was commissioned in 2023.
